Description

A very, very stylish biscuit barrel or box made by the highly prized German WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) factory, around 1910.

The silver plated frame is about as decorative as they come, with the stunning handles, foliate feet and floral garlands with oval cartouche decorating the sides.

The Bristol blue glass liner is in perfect undamaged condition. The underside of the frame is where the full WMF mark can be found, dating this piece to around 1910.

Stunning piece in superb condition, measuring 5 3/8" foot to foot; a lid diameter measuring 4 5/8" in diameter; standing 9" tall to top of lid finial.
