Victorian Cranberry Epergne

19th century
Description

A Victorian single epergne in cranberry glass with a silver plated base in very good condition.

The base has been re silver plated within the past few years.

It appears in the photos to have picked up a blueish tint, but in fact the top of the epergne is a lovely soft reddish/cream colour and we think it is a reaction to the flash on the camera. The second photo shows the true colour.

It measures 21" (53cm) in total, 12" (30cm) is the glass section, and 9" (23cm) the silver plated stand.

The measurement across the base is approx 7" (18cm).

Lancaster Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
