Antique English Double Shell Strawberry & Cream Set C.1900

Description

A delightful large Strawberry set, made from silver plate and dating to around 1900, late Victorian or Edwardian in era.

The dish consists of two large shell-shaped dishes that would look fabulous filled with berries, we often use these filled with cookies and small cakes and serve for tea, using the creamer and sugar for the tea and coffee.

Standing on four ball feet, this one has a naturalistic handle and a cast Strawberry and Strawberry leaves decorating the bottom on each side, the leaves are carried around the frames which hold the creamer and sugar.

A lovely usable piece in excellent condition, measuring 12 1/2" long, the shell measuring 7 1/4" wide and 13 1/4" wide to include creamer and sugar bowl.
