Welsh Country Chair - Broad Seat - c1800

This excellent Welsh chair is a classic design and a very pleasing example of traditional Welsh chair making from the late 18th century.

This piece benefits from a gorgeous sculpted elm seat with the grain running side to side and impressive width of 69cm (27.2").

It is presented in good antique order and is a strong and solid example. The piece displays lovey patina and is a rare find.

Overall an excellent chair and wonderfully comfortable too.

This chair will make a lovely addition to any collection and will serve perfectly as a feature piece in any setting.
