
This pair were made by Tekke Turkmen tribes in Turkmenistan around the last quarter of the 19th century and came out of an old English country house where they had been hung for many decades. They are both in very good condition - complete with original flatwoven backs and long tassels - albeit a little ragged! Nevertheless, a pair of very attractive bags which would make most attractive wall hangings.
Size of each:- 1.02m x 0.66m incl. tassels
(3' 4" x 2' 2" incl. tassels).
