Description

A handsome piece of early Tunbridge Ware dating to around 1835, William IV in era.

Made from Rosewood this small stationery box is decorated with intricate Tunbridge Stickware inlay.

The interior has been professionally re-lined in a handsome hand-marbled paper; the size of the interior would suit smaller note cards and the like.

The front is inlaid with a Mother of Pearl escutcheon which houses a working tasselled key.

Superb condition, a gem to grace the best of desk-tops. 6 1/4" wide x 4" deep x 4 3/4" tall. Stationery and pen for display purposes only.
