Superb Georgian Mahogany Apothecary Cabinet

18th century
Description

This is a superb and interesting example of a George IV mahogany apothecary/doctor's medical cabinet. The cabinet of lovely proportions, wonderful colour and having a swan neck handle to the top.

The two doors open to reveal a fitted interior of short drawers and bottle wells with poison drawer slide to the back. It contains an interesting selection of bottles, syringes, thermometer, bandages. There are some original Georgian bottles as well as later Victorian examples.

This cabinet does need some restoraion which we can carry out in our own workshop if required.

Measurements are:

12 inches wide (closed) 24 inches wide (open)

6 inches deep

13.5 inches high.
