Description

Instead of an inked mechanical stamp to show an invoice was paid, Stamps just like Postage Stamps were used to deem an invoice paid.

This charming Tunbridgeware box was created to store these stamps, created from Rosewood with a Tunbridge Stickware decorated lid surrounding the decoupaged Stamp.

Dating to the Victorian era, around 1870, this unusual example remains in excellent condition. 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 5/8" tall.
