Description

A fine quality French gilded bronze mantel clock. Excellent detailing to the case castings surmounted by two birds. A convex enamel dial with blue numerals, 5 minute outer markers and fine gilt hands. A marble base on adjustable feet. Signed to the dial and mechanism 'Charpentier Bronzier a Paris'. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Circa 1860.
