Atropos Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
This unique pair of chairs originate from the early 1930's and are classic designs of the period. Craftsman built in sturdy english oak and not only good to look at but very comfortable too!
The joints are all pegged and all the curved sections are cut from solid without joins to the curves. There are springs which run laterally to give support to back and seat.

Overall height. 36 inches.
Overall width. 25 inches.
Arm height. 24 inches.
Seating area width. 19 inches.
I am not aware of the makers name but am certain that these fall into the catagory of 'designer' furniture for the period.
The arm provides the perfect position for a crystal tumbler of scotch which will come perfectly to the hand when called for!
All questions welcome.
