Victorian Cast Iron Standard Lamp

19th century
Description

Circa 1890-1920 this cast iron adjustable lamp has decorative details in copper at the base and little copper flowers around the feet. It also has brass balls interspersed in the design of the lamp. It is a nice early example of Art Nouveau in lighting.

It was probably once a stand for an oil lamp, and it has been wired to UK specifications, and to enable a shade carrier to be used.

It stands at 45" (114cm) from the base to the adjustable steel key, and can extend to 76" 193cm.

The approximate width at the base is 22" (56cm).

Delivery/collection can be arranged within the UK.
