Antique French Art Nouveau Brass Postal Scale with Enamel Gauge

Description

I have had much plainer versions of these interesting postal scales but not one quite as attractive and decorative as this delightful Art Nouveau example. The gauge is made from white enamel printed in black and without damage.

The bottom is signed by the maker which is a K with an arrow running through the centre.

The small wheel is used to adjust the scale bringing it to balance and the foot folds and the letter pan can be removed, for the scale to be stored or travelled with.

French, c. 1900 in excellent condition. Measures 6" wide x 7 1/4" tall.
