Victorian Breakfront Bookcase

Description

A superb Victorian burr walnut breakfront library bookcase. The upper section with 4 arched glazed doors with single glazing bars, enclosing 5 adjustable shelves with burr walnut facias. The lower section with a wonderfully carved egg and dart edging and 4 arched panelled doors with 2 adjustable shelves in each section.

Condition - This bookcase is in excellent original condition, with a wonderful mellow patina. The choice and matching of the burr walnut veneers on this bookcase is second to none. Original finish, fully cleaned and waxed, with keys. 21 interior shelves of which 9 have been added at a later date to accommodate more books.

Max width - 98.5" - 250cm

Max height - 101.75" - 259cm

Max depth - 23.5" - 59.5cm

Top middle section takes books up to 13.25" - 33.5cm deep.

Top end section takes books up to 9.75" - 25cm deep.

This bookcase offers a total book run 0f 65'6" - 20m
