Grand Antique English Punch Bowl in Silverplate C.1880 - Scottish Retailer

Description

A fabulous and very impressive punch bowl with an all-over repousse ir embossed decoration and a thick raised border of Grapes, Grapevines and scrolled leaves.

In addition to the attractive embossed decoration, it is in turn hand-chased.

There is the original Scottish retailer's stamp for "Wallace Allan - Ayr", a jewellers and silversmith's established over 130 years ago and still in business today.

Excellent condition with some antique patination, soft copper highlights showing through some high points. A grand size with a rim diameter measuring 12" and standing 8 1/2" tall. This is a heavy piece but worldwide delivery is included! Holds 6.8 /7.4 Litres or 12 /13 Pints.
