Lovely mellow figured walnut ladies writing desk with various inlays and ormolu mounts. Working lock and key. English C 1880.

This is a substantial desk on cabriole legs with ormolu handles, mouldings and top gallery. There are 7 smoothly running small drawers, 1 large and a stationary compartment behind the mirrored door

There are delicate inlays and a newly fitted hide writing surface. The entire desk is in beautiful condition, having been waxed and polished and is ready for immediate use.
