Stunning Georgian Fireside Fuel Barrel - With Scoop - c1800
The piece has the shape of a whiskey barrel and sits at a tilt with cast lions paw feet on cabriole legs.
At the front there is a lift up lid which displays lovely detailing with a lion to the centre surrounded by six hearts and splendid cast floral embellishment.
The piece benefits from a very attractive solid brass top handle and lower pull.
The cabinet is complete with the original fuel shovel which stores conveniently into the rear of the barrel.
Overall a rare and exceptional piece of fireside furniture which looks attractive and functions nicely. The piece is very clean and well presented. It is suitable for all fuel types.
