Arts and Crafts Copper Tea Set

1900 - 1920
Description

Made by Carl Deffner Esslingen of Germany this lovely Arts and Crafts copper tea set has it's own matching copper shaped tray with brass edging and little brass feet.

There are brass button knobs on the tea and sugar pot, and the handles of the tea service are covered in raffia which is all in good condition.

The teapot measures approx 5" (12cm) in height and the tray at the maximum point is approx 16" (41cm)

Carl Deffner Esslingen was born in 1856 and took over his father's metalware factory in 1900. Many good quality pieces of Art Nouveau and Art Deco came from there.

Each item is stamped with their trademark.
