Description

Dating to around 1890, this is a most unusual egg cruet which comes complete with a cut glass open salt and silver plate lidded pepperette; quite charming.

The set comes with the four egg cups, each lavishly gilded on the interior, and four egg spoons which fit into the base making a striking display while not being used.

The underside is fully marked for the renowned quality silversmith, James Dixon & Son.

Excellent condition measuring 8 3/4" x 6 1/4" x 7" tall to top of handle. The set sits on four regal looking claw and ball feet.
