A Victorian Brass Doorstop of Wolseley

Description

A heavy brass Victorian doorstop possibly of Sir Garnet Wolseley.

He was a British Army Officer serving in Burma, the Crimean War, China & Africa amongst other places.

Born in 1833, he died in 1913 and there is a statue of him in London.

The dates and the Boer War uniform tie in with the Victorian date stamp on the back of the door stop.
