A SUPERB LATE 19C FRENCH ROSEWOOD DESK. THE SERPENTINE BASE STANDS ON BEAUTIFUL CABRIOLE LEGS AND HAS THREE FULL DEPTH DRAWERS. THE SUPERSTRUCTURE IS ALSO SERPENTINE AND HAS TWO CUPBOARDS AND TWO DRAWERS WITH A CENTRAL SHELF. THE HANDLES TO THE CUPBOARDS ARE CARVED HOUND HEADS. THE TOP IS SURMOUNTED BY AN INTRICALLY CARVED UPSTAND. THE WHOLE IS BEAUTIFULLY MADE AND ALL CUPBOARDS AND DRAWERS HAVE WORKING LOCKS.
