Superb Georgian Mahogany Roll Top Secretaire Bookcase

18th century
Description

This is a superb example of a Georgian Mahogany roll top Secretaire Bookcase of good proportions and style.

Quality oval veneer panels to fall. Lovely slide out writing area with bank of satinwood fronted drawers and pigeon holes.

The top with superb glazing, adjustable shelves and a lovely decorated dental cornice.

The piece having original back boards behind paper linings.

Below the rolltop are three drawers and stands on splayed feet.

measurements are:

43 inches wide

21 inches deep to 33.5 inches when desk slide open

85 inches high

This bookcase does need some restoration which wil be carried out by our own workshop to a high standard. This work will be included in the price.
