Description

A wonderful highly decorative photo frame with a stunning sterling silver front, cast and embossed with a plethora of floral and foliate motifs together with cherubs and birds, typical of William Comyn's work.

The silver is hallmarked for London 1895, making it a true Victorian example.

It's rather nice that all of the frame is original, rarely found, from the silk behind the glass, the velvet backing and folding easel stand.

A really super example in excellent condition, measuring 8 1/4" tall (max) x 7 3/4" at widest point with a glazed aperture measuring 4 3/4" x 3 1/4".
