London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
A lovely example of an English late Georgian large Cheval Mirror c1800.

The mirror benefits from a well formed back-panel therefore allowing positioning in a location where the piece may be viewed from all angles and not just restricted to a corner or against a wall.
The original domed mirror plate is in fine order with a moulded mahogany veneer surround. It is supported by moulded square section tapered riser bars terminating with a turned finial. The mirror plate displays one area of light foxing and is perfect for daily use.

The piece rides upon original end-capped solid brass feet and castors.
Overall a very pleasing English Georgian period cheval mirror in exceptional order. The larger than average size and wonderful proportions of the piece make this a rare find. Perfect for another 200 years!
