Superb Walnut and Rosewood Occasional Table

19th century
Description

A Victorian Occasional table of the highest quality. Having a carved and turned rosewood base with walnut top of which is intricately inlaid with timbers such as sycamore and boxwood. Both top and base stampled by renowned maker John Braund and dated 1839. John Braund exhibited in the great exhibition in 1851. He also produced a book in 1858 entitled Illustrations of furniture, candelabra, musical instruments.
