Description

This wonderful little book formed box, measuring 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" x 1" thick is most unusual and I think can only be a novelty table snuff box, made from silver plate.

The hinged lid fits well and what makes this piece is the highly decorative engraved border, the decorative original monogram and of course the engraved date 1843, making this an early Victorian example.

As charming as they come, in excellent condition.
