Elmgarden has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The top picture support can also be raised and lowered to suit the size of the painting but in addition to this the whole of the central upright can also be extended allowing for a massive painting to be held safely
The Easel is in good used condition there are splashes and drips of paint which could be removed if preferred but it does have an authentic used look, there are loose joints and the raising mechanism works well
The Easel extends from about 6ft high, it is 22” wide and 21” deep
