Description

A quality Georgian Regency period bracket clock. A rosewood case of good colour and patination. Brass side sound fretwork, handles and standing on adjustable ball feet. A chamfered pediment with pineapple finial. Brass inset front panels. A cast brass bezel with bevelled glass. A painted dial with 'moon' blued steel hands. An 8-day duration twin fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell with a pendulum locking device.

James Hamley and sons of London are recorded in Baillies' Watchmakers and Clockmakers of The World' book as working from 1775-1840. This example dates to circa 1825.
