Staffordshire Jug of Rugby Scenes

1900 - 1920
Description

An Interesting W T Copeland and Sons Staffordshire Jug, decorated in relief to the rim with a lattice pattern and long grass, the centre of the jug with a Rugby scene running around the body, the applied decoration depicting a scrum, with the ball in the scrum, and further round, players kiding a ball between the posts.

The lower edge of the jug with further lattice bands, and decoration of long grass.

The jug with handle, ang the bottom marked for Copeland and impressed marks.
