A Very Fine Pair of 18th Century Collectors Side Cabinets in Richly Figured Mahogany

Description

A beautiful and unique pair of late 18th century collectors side cabinets constructed of finely figured mahogany in very original condition.

Both cabinets have all the original gilded and lacquered brass knobs to the drawers, original locks and keys and hinges and screws.

The doors have inset panels and around each door frame are set two lines of ebony. A reeded moulding is applied top and base.

These cabinets are simple in design which is the very essence of their virtue. They are classic pieces of the period and not only beautiful but very functional even today.
