A wonderfully decorative large inkwell, beautifully shaped with a handsome domed lid.

Once the hinged lid is lifted, the glass liner is revealed, making it easy to refill and clean..

The silver is excellent quality in a good gauge, with matching hallmarks for Sheffield 1911, making this a true antique example. The makers initials RM over EH are present for one of the best known Sheffield silversmith's, Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall - Martin, Hall & Co.

The inkwell is also stamped with a (highly desirable) design registration number, 571366 for the year 1910.

Superb quality and condition measuring 5" in diameter x 3" tall.
