Description

A small longcase clock of Jacobean style by noted makers Waring & Gillow, London. A very well detailed oak case with re-entrant mouldings. Dentil cornice to the hood with barley twisted hood front and rear columns. Detailed fretwork to the hood. Bun feet to the base. A brass and silvered dial with fine engraving. A seconds dial and blued steel hands. A good quality 8-day duration weight driven mechanism striking the hours and half hours on a gong. Brass cased weights.
