Antique English Sterling Silver Egg & Spoon Presentation Set - 1899

Description

Wonderful to find such a beautiful Egg Cup and Spoon in it's original presentation box, a true Victorian example.

Both made from sterling silver and hallmarked for Sheffield 1899, the makers initials are also present on both pieces, HA for the well renowned silversmith's Harry Atkin - Atkin Brothers.

The egg cup is embossed with floral, foliate and scroll motifs, with an attractive repousse floral motif to the foot. The spoon has attractive engraved decoration.

Both made from a good gauge of sterling silver and in excellent condition. The egg cup stands 2 5/8" tall and the spoon, 4 1/4" in length. Combined the two pieces weigh 1.51 Troy Ounces / 47.2 Grams.
