A lovely Victorian postage stamp box in Tartanware, dating to around 1870. Lovely to see in a more unusual Tartan, with the original gold on black label "Robertson".

The stamp features Rowland Hill, (1795-1879) is the man usually connected with the postal reform.

Excellent condition, measuring 1 5/8" in diameter x 1/2" to top of domed lid.
