Description

A quite beautiful painted penwork jewellery decorated with five wonderful Chinese scenes, four sides and the top. There are stunning borders decorated with floral and foliate scrolls. The box stands on four huge original brass Lion's paw feet

The pale pink paper is original, nearly 200 years old and the deep burgundy velvet recently fitted by my restorer with two horizontal ring banks, one to the top and one to the bottom, each to accommodate around six rings.

The condition is outstanding, these are notoriously in poor worn condition, but this one quite superb. Measuring 8 3/4" at widest x 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" tall; complete with working tasselled key.
