Description

A 19th C tortoiseshell sewing box, the rectangular shaped box with an engraved silver plaque to top with monograms within a circular cartouche, the hinged lid opening to reveal sewing implements with mother-of-pearl handles and sterling pieces as well, the edge of the inner rim with ivory mount. This lovely sewing box has a small amount of veneer missing to one corner, as shown in photos, otherwise, it is in very good condition.
