A wonderful antique set of chessmen, dating to the Edwardian era, around 1910. A good large set and very well weighted, with the King standing 3 1/4" tall with a base diameter of 1 1/4", an impressive and tactile set, each piece weighted.

The original Mahogany storage box is in exceptional condition with a sliding lid, decoupaged with the highly sought after green and cream CHESS label, marked "Made In England" and signed J.J. & S

A fabulous set in excellent condition, the box measuring 6 1/2" x 4 1/4" x x 3 1/2" tall.
