Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The camel shaped cast iron fire back, attached to down swept sides, meeting a three bar serpentine basket front, the frieze with lattice and vitruvian scroll pierced decoration, the shape following the basket and sweeping out to scrolled legs.
The legs and basket front decorated with vase finials.
In good condition throughout and ready for use.
Height 24 1/2" to top of fire back.
