Description

A very handsome antique English cut glass and silver plated biscuit box by the highly sought-after silversmith, Hukin & Heath.

The glass is heavy and thick and deeply hand-cut in the ever-popular hobnail design.

The glass sits in a highly decorative stand with a twisted rope design holding the glass firmly in place.

The hinged lid is beautifully engraved and the top is crowned with a figural Lion finial holding a shield shaped banner, engraved with a very regal looking armorial crest of a Lion with a Sword.

Absolutely superb condition, the tray diameter measures 7", the glass box diameter measures 5 1/4" and the entire piece stands 8" tall to top of Lion finial.
