Description

This magnificent piece weighs over 6 kilos or 14 Llbs, a testament to the quality of this highly desirable wall-hanging calendar. Don't worry about the shipping costs, here at Puckering's this is always included worldwide .. but if you do intend to place it on a wall, you want to ensure is securely done!

My restorer had to open the calendar at the back to get the rollers working, this is where he found the makers signature for Best & Lloyd of Birmingham. Best&Lloyd began by making brass components in 1840. By 1900 it had become the most prestigious supplier of chandeliers to public buildings in Europe and America. Today they are still in business as top quality lighting.

The rollers are now working but require the two knobs to be move forward or turn back the month and date; using the top two to move along the month and the bottom two to move the day.

A splendid piece which would look equally impressive in a modern loft or a Victorian home. It stands just as well on a desk-top or shelf as hung.

Excellent condition measuring a mammoth 8 3/4" wide x 11 3/4" tall x 2 1/2" deep.
