Antique Walnut Black Forest Inlaid Table

Description

A wonderful quality 19th century black forest type centre table. This tripod occasional Victorian sofa tilting table is typical of the region; the top oval in shape with marquetry panels of boxwood and satinwood inlay depicting stags with other hunting scenes. The frieze like the base is extensively carved to a high standard and retains the original clip which allows the table to tilt. This piece of furniture has been fully restored by qualified professional restorers but still retains a wonderful rich original patina and colour. Circa 1870. Excellent condition. Measures 36”w x 26”d x 30”h
