Offering classic proportions and stunning oak colour this large bureau presents a '2 over 3' drawer layout and benefits from robust oak linings with cross-banding to each drawer front.
A fall front opens to reveal a quality fitted interior with a central cupboard door flanked by drawers and cubbies. The fall flap has survived without being 'leathered' during the life of the piece and is better for the fact.
The piece rides upon a solid sided plinth with just a hint of excitement to the front where there is a semi-sculpted front skirt.
A perfect example of practicality and good design with traditional craftsmanship delivering a piece which although approaching it's three hundredth birthday will still be desirable in another two centuries time.
Overall this lovely piece of furniture is in good antique condition offering great patina. A classic English antique bureau with huge charm, history and warmth.
