Description

The unusually shaped box dates to the William IV period, around 1830 standing on it's four original bun feet.

The box has a carved Rosewood beading on the edges of all three tiers, and front and top beautifully inlaid with carved Mother of Pearl and pewter stringing, all typical of this era.

The box has been professionally re-lined in a hand-marbled paper, creating a fresh clean interior, perfect for storing jewellery, photographs, letters, stationery or desk accessories.

Excellent condition, measuring 11 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 3 1/2" tall.
