Description

A fine quality London Regency period bracket/mantel clock. Choice flame mahogany veneers to the case with brass inlays. Chamfered brass case sides. Fishscale side sound fretwork and handles. Brass bun feet. A convex glass and cast brass bezel to the dial with finely pierced blued steel hands. A twin fusee mechanism of 8-day duration with engraved border backplate. Hourly bell striking with pull repeat side cord.

George Tupman of London is recorded as working from 1794-1828.
