Atropos Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
It is of the finest quality and manufactured by the best cabinet makers and of the best available materials of the time.

This cabinet is in fine condition and it would be fitting for the two to be sold as a pair. If a potential customer were to want this then I would be happy to discuss a favourable price for the two.
The cabinet is constructed of solid mahogany and all the drawers run smoothley and straight. Each drawer has a hidden cell to the inside front and very close fitting drop in glazed frame to protect the contents. The original purpose of this piece of furniture was for the display and protection of a collection of british butterflies but it will lend itself to a multitude of collecting pursuits. The drawers are papered and have a cork liner to the inside base.
