Outstanding Longines solid 9ct gold gents wristwatch.
The gold plated 17 jewel watch movement is beautifully made, totally reliable and as you can see it's in fabulous like new condition.
The ivory coloured dial and hands are totally original and it has the sub seconds with Longines written around the top. A new glass has been fitted and the case has been professionally polished so it looks outstanding.
As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.
This is a rare opportunity indeed to own a classic Longines watch from the 1940s in such incredible condition and is much sought after by collectors.
It comes complete with a new premium quality black leather strap and a new presentation box to keep your watch in perfect condition. If you prefer a chestnut brown leather or extra long strap this can be fitted.
Longines are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance that whispers class.
The watch is a mid size gents measuring 31mm in diameter not including the crown.
The serial number on the movement dates this watch to 1946.
Overall this watch is in outstanding condition, it looks as if it was loveingly looked after.
The watch has been fully serived and is guarantted to be a genuine Longines in all respects. It has been professionally overhauled and serived by Simon Batchelor MBHI, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
It is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers parts. Each part is then thoroughly cleaned in a three stage ultrasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufactureres approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and sealed.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give you reliable and dependable service and will not require further service for many years.
The watch movement comes with a full 1 year warranty.
