Description

An unusual English letter opener with a figural celluloid handle in the form of a leg with a boot on. The photographs make the handle look almost black, it is actually a rather decorative black and red colouring created to appear like a marble or similar stone.

There is a very attractive sterling silver ferrule which joins this handle to the sterling silver blade, hallmarked for Chester 1924.

Excellent condition and ready for use, measuring 7 1/4" in length.
