Description

A fabulous large inkwell, looking like a huge diamond, made from a heavy piece of glass cut all around and a star cut base; perfect for doubling up as a paperweight on the desk-top.

The collar and hinged lid are made from English sterling silver, hallmarked for Birmingham 1920. The makers marks J.G. & S for the well renowned silversmith, John Grinsell & Sons.

The inside retains the removable glass liner, for easy re-filling and cleaning.

Excellent condition, an impressive piece measuring 4" in diameter x 3 1/4" tall.
