London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
This lath and splat Windsor chair is a super example and is presented in good condition.

The piece has good seat height (46cm or 18.1") combined with strength in the back and arms and therefore makes an excellent choice as a regular daily use chair (see images for full dimensions).
A centre splat with twin curved lath to either side provide the back support and lead into a broad top rail. Nicely swept outer risers, which terminate in a desirable turned bobbin, unite the back with the arm via twin turned supports.

The chair rides upon substantial turned tapered legs which are united by a double 'H' stretcher for robustness and durability.
This chair will make a charming addition to any home and is a nice example of this classic design. The chair is very comfortable and solid throughout.
