Four Leg Lacemakers Stool - Cross Stretcher - c1820

Lovely Elm stool with Lacemaker X-stretcher.

This charming Country Stool is wonderfully presented and an excellent example of the type originating from the Olney area of England.

The dished seat rides upon a quad of attractively turned legs which are united by an X-stretcher providing strength and ensuring a solid base.

The elm displays warmth and character throughout. The piece is in solid condition and good antique order.

An excellent example and offering use as a stool, stand, step or mini-side table.
