Walnut Lenkirch Clock Circa 1890

19th century
Description

Superb quality burr walnut and gilt bronze mounted bracket clock, circa 1890, in fine original condition.

The fully restored 8 day movement by Lenzkirch of Germany, engraved Lenzkirch 1 million to the back plate.

Quarter ting tang chiming on 2 blued steel curled gongs. Striking the hours on a single gong.

Fine quality brass dial with highly decorative gilded brass spandrels.

Silvered Roman chapter ring and silvered subsidiary

Slow/fast regulation.

Blued steel hands

Finely figured burr walnut on the front, back and sides of the case .

Width 11.5 inches

Depth 9.5 inches

A very fine and original example of the late Victorian bracket clocks manufactured by Lenzkirch.
